This simple 1-8 counting folder activity was created by Emily Boyett, M.A., CCC-SLP, ATP, with the Oklahoma Assistive Technology Center, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, in Cooperation with the Oklahoma State Department of Education, Special Education Services. Directions for Assembly: 1. Print pages 1-5. 2. Glue page 1 (cover page onto front of file folder) 3. Glue pages 2 and 3 (pot pages) to the inside of folder. 4. Cut out "Clam Count" folder tab label and glue to folder tab. 5. Cut out number squares 1-8 and the clams. 6. Laminate the folder, numbers, and clams. 7. Put a small piece of soft Velcro on each of the pots. (This is where you'll put the numbers.) 8. Put a strip of soft Velcro vertically above each pot. (This is where the student will place the clams.) 9. Put scratchy Velcro on the back of the laminated number squares and on each clam. ***The numbers are detachable so that you may mix them up as needed.
